Ulam's Prime
Ulam’s Prime, Embracing The Wide Sky, 2009/10
Noted mathematician, Stanislaw Ulam (1909-1984) while doddling, began writing numbers in a spiral grid starting with the number one. He observed beauty in the random, yet diagonal positioning of the prime numbers, some continuing to infinity. Daniel Tammet’s (Embracing the Wide Sky) unique, autistically clear vision of the working of the mind inspired the stylistic representation of Ulam’s Prime.
